How to certify?
The certification of quality in websites is the result of a process that includes a self-assessment and external assessment in which qualified surveyors ensure that the website or blog complies with the norm or the standards manual used as a reference. The process is dynamic and continuous and unfolds throughout 4 consecutive phases:
Phase 1 Beginning of the Process
After applying, an ACSA project manager and a website or blog manager will be nominated to conduct the development of the process and the communication between both parties.
Phase 2 Self-assessment
t is an internal analysis made by the websites and blogs managers. It is aimed to the verification and implementation of quality and reliability of content and services offered, as stated in the standards defined in this certification programme. The website managers carry out an internal observation to identify what is being accomplished (by means of positive evidence) and identify areas for improvement in the website or blog.
Phase 3 Assessment
A team of qualified ACSA Surveyors validates and recognises the outcomes of the self-assessment related to quality, strengths and areas for improvement. This team uses both direct observation and technological assessment tools. After this evaluation, a Certification Committee determines the degree of the certification obtained.
Phase 4 Certification and Follow-up
After the assessment, ACSA will issue an outcomes report. If it is favourable, ACSA will award a certification mark with the quality level achieved to the websites or blog. This phase seeks to ensure compliance with standards and therefore a certain level of quality. To this aim, a new follow-up revision of the website is undertaken during the 5-year life of the certification.
