The Agencia de Calidad Sanitaria de Andalucía –ACSA (in English, Andalusian Agency for Healthcare Quality) is a governmental organisation attached to the Consejería de Salud de la Junta de Andalucía (Health Department of the Regional Government of Andalucía)which receives managerial support from Fundación Progreso y Salud (the Foundation for Healthcare and Progress).

Its purpose is to enhance the quality of the services provided both by organisations and healthcare / social services professionals, a challenge ACSA is addressing by promoting the so-called Modelo Andaluz de Calidad (In English, Andalusian Quality Model), always pursuing excellence in healthcare and social welfare and fostering the culture of continuous improvement.

To do so, it is governed as a certifying body for the quality of health organisations and of social services, as well as of its professionals, the training that they receive and web pages with health-related content. Thus, ACSA works hand in hand with organisations and healthcare professionals aiming at improving the quality of their work through certification and other projects that promote patient safety and professional development.

How do we fund

To develop its activity, ACSA receives funding from the Health Department of the Regional Government of Andalucía, which attributes direct fundings to Fundación Progreso y Salud, with the aim to support its activity of management of centres and programmes.

With the purpose of promoting excellence in healthcare services and social welfare, ACSA develops several projects, individually financed through specific assignments.

Likewise, ACSA receives funding from resources generated by its own activities, by means of services invoicing to its clients. Here you can see our rates.
